25th June 2020 , it was one of the most shocking days of my life ,it was the day I got detected positive for Covid-19 which i wasn’t expecting one bit. The reason I had gone for the test was because I was having weakness for past one week and had some mild symptoms like cough. But I thought it might have been normal fever and all. The night before ,I was positive that result for the test would be negative but suddenly there was someone at my door at around 12AM , it scared the shit out of me . I thought there are people from PMC and were there for sealing the building as I got tested positive, but it wasn’t the case it was just some random people from the society asking us to stay positive no matter what result is , i might have got scared because it was late night and still thought that result would be negative.
Before going to the hospital to get the result , I thought I would get negative and come back to my room and I told my friend that to stay in the parking and I will get the result and as it will 100% negative , we will straight away go home. But when I was in the line for reports the person behind me was positive and he was so disappointed , still then I thought i will be Negative. I told the receptionist my name , he gave me report with out saying a word , as he was normal I thought it is surely negative.But when I saw the report it was fucking postive, i cross checked it 100 times ,but it was still postive. I told Shivam(my friend) who was waiting in the parking that it was postive, it scared the shit out if him too and we went to the hospital to check the process to get admitted. The receptionist at the hospital staright away gave me a paper which had all the expenses , it was around 1.3 lakhs.
I was numb, i wasn’t able to feel anything, I haven’t even told my parents , fearing they will be worried and as most of them people knew i had got tested , they were continuously calling me to check for the result. I didn’t know what to tell them. I was in shock. And there was one more shock that I had to stay for 12 days in isolation in the hospital environment without anybody’s help. As the clock ticked , I got to know I really had covid because there were a lot more symptoms which i was ignoring like no smell, no taste,extrem weakness etc. I told my father after an hour , he was like are you kidding me and all that after sometime my mom was in tears , I told her and myself that i will be ok no matter what and also I knew these 12 days are gonna be one of toughest /challenging days of my life.
